Food Allergies Lead to Ear & Sinus Infections
Children that have repeated sinus and ear infections usually have multiple food allergies according to research studies. The most common allergic foods are milk, dairy, wheat, and/or beef. Another way to eliminate ear aches, allergies, and sinus infections is to remove the offending foods from the diet, thus eliminating food allergies and its symptoms. Personally, I did not totally remove these foods; I simply cut back on them. For instance, cornflakes instead of Frosted Mini-Wheats for breakfast; Rice Crispies instead of Wheaties; Oatmeal instead of Cream of Wheat; Wheat cereal only once every four days-essentially the rotation diet - only I let him have white bread at lunch.

At lunch I give him a sandwich (white bread) but instead of crackers, I give him a rice crispy treat or Quaker flavored rice cakes. Kids need calcium so make sure you give them plenty of yogurt, which is much better tolerated/digested.
Dark leafy greens such as romaine lettuce and spinach have lots of calcium-that’s why cows milk is loaded with it! Don’t forget the broccoli- it helps detox the colon and prevents colon cancer (everything in the cabbage family prevents colon cancer). Besides kids love to dip foods when they are young-take advantage of dips! I use baby spinach in his salads because it tastes better.
HELPFUL TANGENT: The problem with cow’s milk is that it is meant for baby cows not people! Cows have four stomachs and we don’t, so most people don’t digest it properly and the calcium is too coarse for us to breakdown= kidney/gall stones.
